I'm thinking about running a Typography 101 course if I have time to prepare the materials. Hope this may interest some of you - it would cover some semi-essential parts of 'font use for the corporate environment'.
My favourite so far is the one attached (uses a rough de-arrowed version of MattyK's shopping cart with other typography - have sent you a PM by the way).
Anyone can feel free to rebuild this or replace the shopping trolley/cart icon with a basket or box - I'll juggle the prizes around based on end contribution to the logo. Following extensive discussions and feedback from a few potential clients and RedDragon/MattyK, I'm back to the box/basket/trolley rather than globe/clock. Long-term despite the slightly mixed branding it makes for a stronger message about the product.
Orange would be considered for the logo but only goes well with grey/white and cream/sage as far as web design goes - brown often works but is not a good selling colour.
Hope this helps!
John

Anyway, thanks for the feedback, I'll have a go and If i win I cant accept the money. But I wont win so that's pointless. I'll try to do some vectoring now.

And here's how it could work with the layout...
edit: but in the layout have the header a little smaller actually (just did it quick)
edit2: After reading the post above and the PM I've changed my original one too...
edit3: thought I should mention that these are all available in scalable, vector .ai format

I think I'll turn more to the bag/basket thing, becouse the shopping cart remembers mroe a supermarket then an online store...
By night, I'll be back with more entries

And almost all Shopping sites use "My Cart" or "Add to Cart"... I've seen "Add to Basket" to so if you wanna try something other than a cart I'd recommend a basket.

Very nice image, what'd you make it in?
I must say though it doesn't quite match the text (I'm not sure why... it must be a 2d/3d thing because gloss and stuff looks fine), and it seems like the image is better for a graphic than a logo in my honest opinion. But I couldn't draw that so I'm still very impressed.
Well done.

yes, that's my point: go to the basket idea istead of making the cart one

I know you said you like the baskit but I thought id post one I did a few days ago with a clock:
Now to try and make a basket...

Nice clock... theres a teenie little smudge beside the 5 so you know, but it's probably just the way it was saved.

Really nice Griffin, good use of fonts, colours, and familiar typefaces. it does make the '365' stand out more than the webshop though!

nice logo alex but doesn't 'integrate' quite as well as mattyK's and griffins do - possibly the basket in the middle splits the text up too much, and the overuse of capitals/verdana/trebuchet makes it slightly too 'forced' in a viewer's subconscious.

Well I drawed it by the rule of perception, I mean all 3d shapes must have perspective to look real...
But you have piont, it looks odd when compared with 2d font...
Anyways Im drawing a basket now, And im thinking of using another perspective, more frontal maybe...

I made this one with basket...
Everything in the first one seems really pixely.
